The Aranjuez City Council is carrying out renovation works in the train station's car park. In light of this, the municipal group ACIPA has gathered citizen demands regarding parking spaces for people with reduced mobility (PMR).
ACIPA considers it illogical that the reserved spaces for PMR are located far from the main station entrances. They argue that logic dictates these spaces should be as close as possible to the entrance to facilitate users' journeys.
Therefore, the political group proposes requesting Adif (Infrastructure Administrator of Railway) to increase and relocate PMR spaces in the car park located directly in front of the main entrance to the Aranjuez station terminal. They point out that it makes no sense to force people with mobility issues to travel hundreds of meters from the newly planned location to the station.
The Agrupación Ciudadana Independiente para Aranjuez submits to the Corporation's Plenary the request for the municipal government to liaise with Adif and other competent bodies for the relocation and increase of these spaces, aiming to make their journeys as short and accessible as possible when using public transport.
