The Sierra de Guadarrama has inaugurated the Los Molinos-Sierra de Guadarrama Trail Running Center (TRC), a new outdoor sports facility that becomes the only network of trails for this discipline homologated by the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation (RFEA) in the Community of Madrid.

This initiative positions the region as a national benchmark for mountain running, offering a unique space for athletes and enthusiasts. The center, strategically located among meadows, pastures, and the peaks of the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park, has its hub at the Municipal Sports Center of Los Molinos, which serves as the Reception Center.
The TRC Los Molinos-Sierra de Guadarrama opens access to the mountainous natural heritage through three circular routes totaling 36 kilometers, designed with progressive difficulty and perfectly signposted. The courses run along historic drove roads, rural paths, and pastures, allowing participants to enjoy the landscape, the sound of livestock, and privileged views of the mountains.
Adhering to the principles of sustainability and "do no significant harm to the environment" (DNSH), the center utilizes the existing network of rural paths without requiring new aggressive construction. This commitment to sustainable tourism respects traditional livestock use and promotes a year-round offering.
The new facility is part of the Sustainable Tourism Plan for Destinations (PSTD) of the Sierra de Guadarrama, funded by the European Union through the NextGenerationEU funds. The objective is to continue diversifying the region's tourism offerings and attract visitors interested in health, sports, and local gastronomy throughout the year.
