Construction has started on a new water park at Aranjuez's Plaza de Abastos, with an estimated execution period of 30 days.

After the fencing of the area, located next to the Centro Cultural Isabel de Farnesio, was completed yesterday, work begins today. The project, funded by the Comunidad de Madrid as part of the Urban Regeneration line for the Residential Environment of Programmed Rehabilitation (ERRP) of the Casco Antiguo, includes Next Generation European funds.
The awarded company, HPC Ibérica, S.A., will carry out the project for 200,076.08 euros, including an extended four-year warranty period. The new water park will cover approximately 120 square meters and feature 16 interactive water jets with a programmable regulation system to create various effects.
The facility will include custom tanks, hydraulic pumps, and electronic control elements to ensure water quality and health safety. It will operate on a closed-loop recirculation system, optimizing water resource usage.
This initiative by the Aranjuez City Council continues the efforts to improve public spaces and create family leisure areas, contributing to the revitalization of the Historic Quarter.
