These subsidies, covering 30% of the service cost, reach 100% for families already holding a municipal scholarship. As a new feature compared to the 2024-2025 academic year, the aid now also includes minors enrolled in Christmas and Easter camps.
During the 2025-2026 academic year, 1,246 children were registered in the weekday activity program at municipal public schools, including initiatives like ‘Primeros del cole’, ‘Tardes en mi cole’, and ‘Extra-curricular activities’. Additionally, approximately 140 children participated in non-school day activities, such as Christmas and Easter camps.
The initiative, funded by a €81,400 grant from the Community of Madrid, aims to support family work-life balance and ensure equal access to school services. The company responsible for the service is contacting each family individually to manage the refund process.
Families seeking more information or wishing to manage their refunds can do so via email at extraescolaresaranjuez@spsociales.es or by phone at 633242699.
Through this measure, the Aranjuez City Council reaffirms its commitment to public education and family support, promoting concrete actions to foster work-life balance and equal opportunities.
