The plot, spanning 12,200 square meters and located in the La Montaña neighborhood, will be used for a project that includes 200 places and an initial investment exceeding 16 million euros. This initiative is part of the Community of Madrid's Plan 40-40, which aims to create 40 new residences and 40 day centers.
The proposal received favorable votes from PP, Vox, ACIPA, and Más Madrid-Verdes Equo Aranjuez, while PSOE and Coalición por Aranjuez voted against it. The plot, public domain land, will retain its public ownership status and its specific use for elderly care.
Last September 23rd, the regional government began the contracting process for the first seven residences included in the Plan 40-40, with the Aranjuez facility among them. Through this agreement, the council provides the necessary municipal land to advance the project's execution, addressing the need for care for the aging population.
