“"We are pleased that all groups have accepted the proposal we put forward. We hope that the administrations will get to work as soon as possible to reach an agreement and thus benefit each other reciprocally, obtaining more resources, offering better services, and ensuring that the Hospital del Tajo substantially improves."

The municipal plenary session of Aranjuez unanimously approved two key proposals presented by ACIPA in September 2026: the study on the suitability of adhering to the Sanea Plan of the Community of Madrid and the signing of a healthcare agreement with Castilla-La Mancha.
During the ordinary plenary session held in September 2026, the municipal corporation of Aranjuez unanimously voted in favor of two proposals put forward by the Independent Citizen Group for Aranjuez (ACIPA). The first concerns studying the feasibility of joining the Canal de Isabel II's Sanea Plan, an initiative by the Community of Madrid focused on improving sanitation and water collection infrastructure.
The proposal regarding the Sanea Plan urges the Municipal Technical Services to evaluate the City Council's potential adherence to the program, considering financial sustainability criteria and the technical guidelines from the sanitation and water collection services management project initiated in 2007. It also calls for continued pursuit of direct subsidies for sanitation network improvement plans, currently stalled due to a lack of municipal funds. A spokesperson for ACIPA highlighted the proposal's importance for infrastructure enhancement, expressing hope that municipal experts will determine the suitability of joining the plan, which already benefits other Madrid municipalities with improvements unattainable through local funding.
The second unanimously approved proposition relates to signing a healthcare agreement between the Community of Madrid and the Board of Communities of Castilla-La Mancha. It calls for the activation of the joint commission, established in 2015 but not yet implemented, to redefine collaboration criteria, particularly concerning the northern part of the province of Toledo and the hospitals of Aranjuez and Parla. The proposal emphasizes the need to reflect the increased population in healthcare provision and to prioritize improvements in these hospitals, including human and material resources, with special focus on the Hospital del Tajo.
Additionally, requests and questions were presented. One requested the swift establishment of works commissions for upcoming interventions at the train station's parking lot, the Sabatini route, and the Plaza de San Antonio. Another request sought to increase and relocate parking spaces for people with reduced mobility (PMR) at the train station parking area, in ongoing discussions with Adif.
Regarding the Management Plan for the Cultural Landscape of Aranjuez, an inquiry was made about its current status and timeline. The municipal government responded that the plan is drafted and audited, awaiting a meeting with spokespersons for its presentation.
Finally, concerning the unification of criteria for the Local Commission for Historical Heritage, approved in June 2024, the government indicated that, based on three years of accumulated experience with the commission, they do not currently find unification feasible due to the distinct characteristics of each building. Instead, they are working with precedent cases and seeking solutions for singular cases.
