This certification confirms the municipal company's practices regarding Scope 1 (direct) and Scope 2 (indirect) emissions, corresponding to the period between January 1 and December 31, 2024.

The 'Cálculo' seal is the first of three certifications issued by Cámara Certifica and granted by the Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge. The Alcorcón City Council has indicated that, according to Royal Decree 214/2025, carbon footprint calculation will be mandatory for large companies starting from the 2025/2026 fiscal year.

The verification certifies that the measurement of emissions linked to the company's activity has been carried out following recognized technical criteria and has been verified by an independent entity, in this case Cámara Certifica.
The process included the analysis of the carbon footprint associated with the various services provided by ESMASA, such as street cleaning, collection, classification and management of urban solid waste, interior cleaning, public lighting, and the municipal tow truck service.
