The Alcorcón Municipal Police have arrested a man for alleged gender violence and a public health offense, after being alerted by neighbors about a dispute and finding a woman with visible injuries.

The police intervention in Alcorcón began thanks to citizen cooperation. Several neighbors alerted authorities about noises and a loud argument in a home, allowing officers to act quickly.
Upon arrival, Municipal Police officers located the alleged aggressor on the building's staircase. Subsequently, upon entering the residence, they found a woman with visible injuries, who stated she had suffered assaults and threats.

"Gender violence continues to endanger the safety of thousands of women in our country. In Alcorcón, there is no place for it, and to combat it, we have deployed an important network of public services to protect and assist them."

The woman was taken to a hospital for medical attention, while the man was arrested for an alleged gender violence offense. During the operation, officers also discovered over 100 grams of hashish in the home, adding a charge for an alleged public health offense.
Alcorcón authorities have reiterated their commitment to zero tolerance for gender violence, emphasizing the importance of victim protection and the prosecution of aggressors.
