Serious Accident in Morata de Tajuña: Driver Airlifted

Two people were injured this Sunday afternoon in a serious traffic accident at kilometer 6.800 of the M-311 in Morata de Tajuña, where one driver was rescued and transported by helicopter with multiple traumas.

The incident, a head-on collision between a van and a car, mobilized emergency services from the Community of Madrid. The van driver, a 56-year-old male, was trapped inside his vehicle and required extrication by the Community of Madrid Firefighters.
After being freed, SUMMA medical personnel attended to the injured man, who suffered multiple traumas. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was evacuated by medical helicopter with a serious prognosis to a hospital.
Meanwhile, the car driver, a 25-year-old woman, managed to exit her vehicle unassisted. She was also treated by SUMMA personnel and transported to the hospital with a potentially serious prognosis, attributed to the impact's mechanics.
The Guardia Civil has launched an investigation to determine the exact causes of the accident. The Local Police of Morata de Tajuña also collaborated in the rescue and assistance operations.
