The incident occurred around 6:10 AM at kilometer 56 of the aforementioned road. A van veered off the road, resulting in a spectacular rollover with multiple somersaults.
As a direct consequence of the violent crash, one of the occupants was ejected from the vehicle. Despite the efforts of paramedics from SUMMA who arrived at the scene, they could only confirm the death of the 21-year-old due to the severe injuries sustained.
The other three young people traveling in the van, two girls and the driver, all of similar age to the deceased, suffered minor injuries.
Two units from the Community of Madrid Firefighters also responded to the scene to carry out prevention tasks. SUMMA also deployed a psychologist to assist those affected. The Guardia Civil has launched the relevant investigation to determine the exact causes of the accident.
