The City Council of San Lorenzo de El Escorial has incorporated 29 workers through the Employment Activation Programs of the Community of Madrid, funded by the SEPE.

Within the framework of the Employment Activation Programs of the Community of Madrid, the City Council of San Lorenzo de El Escorial has welcomed 29 new workers. These programs are divided into two modalities: Youth Employment Promotion and Professional Activation.
Eleven young people have joined the Youth Employment Promotion program. These participants will receive training and a ten-month contract as administrative assistants in the council.
For its part, the Professional Activation Program will allow the hiring of 18 workers for eight months. They have already been integrated into various areas of the City Council: six bricklayers, six gardeners, two multi-service operators, one technical architect, one public works engineer, one journalist, and one IT assistant.
The main objective of these programs is the reactivation of unemployed individuals and their training within local entities. The aim is to strengthen the professional skills of qualified participants through eight-month practical work experience.
The mayor, Carlota López Esteban, along with the Councilor for Employment and Entrepreneurship, Eduardo Moreira Martín-Peñato, welcomed the new employees. They wished them a very fruitful first experience within public administration.
The Professional Activation Program is financed by the State Public Employment Service (SEPE), through the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment of the Community of Madrid. The Youth Employment Promotion Program also receives support for its implementation with Local Corporations.
