The fire, which began on Wednesday in the municipality of Villalbilla, near Alcalá, was stabilized in the afternoon. Three seaplanes from the Ministry for Ecological Transition, five helicopters, and 12 ground units from firefighters and forest agents of the Community of Madrid participated in its extinction.
The flames caused the closure of several kilometers of the M-203 road in the vicinity of the affected area, according to information from Emergencies 112 Community of Madrid, to facilitate firefighting efforts. Finally, the fire was declared stabilized without any personal injuries reported.
