A serious traffic accident took place on kilometer 50.5 of the M-501 road, within the municipality of Pelayos de la Presa. The head-on collision between two vehicles occurred around 12:15 PM, resulting in two serious injuries and three minor ones.
Community of Madrid Firefighters had to intervene to rescue two of the victims who were trapped inside one of the vehicles involved in the incident.

The 21-year-old youth, after being stabilized by medical services, was transferred by a SUMMA 112 helicopter to La Paz Hospital in serious condition. The second injured person, aged 18, was evacuated by another medical helicopter to 12 de Octubre Hospital, also in serious condition.
The other three individuals involved in the accident were traveling in the second vehicle and received attention from emergency services, being transferred with minor injuries.
The Civil Guard has initiated an investigation to determine the exact causes of the accident, also with the collaboration of the Local Police of Pelayos de la Presa.
