All members of the Civil Protection Volunteer Group in Navalagamella have officially resigned, citing a lack of institutional support and significant logistical failures.

The group of fourteen members submitted their resignation on June 12. Their decision follows a period of total silence from the local government regarding coordination meetings and disputes over basic operational expenses.
The facilities used by the volunteers are reported to have critical structural issues, including a lack of hot water, water leaks, mold infestations, and ceiling damage. These conditions led to the cancellation of internship agreements with educational institutions such as the IES Juan de Herrera.
The volunteers also reported that 2,500 euros allocated for fire-resistant clothing were blocked, leaving them to respond to fires without proper protective gear. Additionally, they noted that they had to provide their own mobile data to maintain internet access at the base.
Opposition members have supported the volunteers' claims, warning that the loss of this local resource is extremely serious for a municipality with extensive forest areas, where external ambulance response times can take up to 40 minutes.
