The Horcajuelo de la Sierra Town Hall has published the regulations for the rental of two municipal homes, located on Calle Comunidad de Madrid, aiming to address citizens' housing needs.

Individuals or family units interested in these homes, with a monthly rent set at 500 euros, can submit their applications until November 4, 2026. The contracts will have an initial duration of one year, renewable according to the current Urban Leases Law.
The two properties offered are located at Calle Comunidad de Madrid, numbers 6 and 9. The first, at number 6, 1-B, has 3 bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room with a fireplace, 1 bathroom, and a terrace. The second, at number 9, features 109 m² distributed over two floors, with a living room-kitchen and a toilet on the ground floor, and 3 bedrooms, a bathroom, and a balcony on the upper floor. Both will be delivered unfurnished but include basic kitchen equipment and their respective heating and hot water systems.
To be eligible for allocation, it is essential to use the property as a primary and permanent residence, committing to register there. It cannot be used as a second home or for commercial purposes. Applicants must also meet the following conditions: annual family income of at least 20,000 euros gross, not owning full title or usufruct rights to another home in Spain, and having no outstanding debts with the Horcajuelo de la Sierra Town Hall or any other public administration.
The allocation of homes will be based on a points system that prioritizes local ties and connection to the territory. Points will be awarded for: residency in Horcajuelo de la Sierra (up to 12 points, with maximum for over 8 years), employment in the Sierra del Rincón (up to 5 points for local employment, 3 points for employment elsewhere in the Sierra del Rincón), family unit size (up to 4 points), and dependents (up to 3 points for children under 18 or parents over 65).
The application period is 15 calendar days, ending on November 4, 2026. Applications can be submitted in person at the Town Hall's General Registry (Plaza San Antonio, 1) from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, or electronically via the municipal website's electronic headquarters.
