The town of Rascafría is preparing to celebrate its traditional Pilgrimage to the Hermitage of Virgen de la Peña on April 25, an event that combines devotion and tradition.

The main meeting point for participants is scheduled for 11:15 AM in the El Paular car park, where vehicles can be left. For those wishing to start the pilgrimage in a more traditional way, the procession will begin at 10:00 AM from the courtyard of the Parish of San Andrés.
Attendees will walk alongside the parish priest and various brotherhoods and associations, with the journey enlivened by the sound of the dulzaina and drum. The day will culminate with a mass at the Hermitage of Virgen de la Peña, scheduled for 12:00 PM.
The organization of this event is handled by the Parish of San Andrés Apóstol and the «La Trocha» Association. It also benefits from the collaboration of the Benedictine Community of El Paular, the Friends of El Paular Association, the Rondalla de Rascafría, the AMPA, the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park, and the Ministry of Environment.
The pilgrimage is sponsored by the Rascafría and Oteruelo del Valle Town Council, ensuring institutional support for the celebration of this important local tradition.
