The Community of Madrid, through Councillor Miguel Ángel García Martín, has inaugurated the Sierra Norte 2026 Fair in La Cabrera, an event aimed at promoting local products and the region's culture.

Madrid's Sierra Norte region is celebrating its annual fair this weekend in La Cabrera. The event features 70 exhibitors focused on promoting local products and regional crafts, under the theme 'A Place to Live'.
Miguel Ángel García Martín, Minister of Presidency, Justice, and Local Administration, accompanied by Mayor Ismael de la Fuente, officially opened the exhibition. García Martín emphasized the regional government's commitment to "continue supporting the growth of rural areas" through initiatives that showcase the culture, heritage, and gastronomy of municipalities with fewer than 20,000 inhabitants.
The Mayor of La Cabrera expressed his satisfaction in hosting the fair, hoping that this year's theme, 'A Place to Live', will become a permanent identity for the town.
Sponsored by the 'Pueblos con Vida' (Towns with Life) program, the fair offers attendees a variety of workshops, family activities, and live music. Since last year, the event rotates among different municipalities in the Sierra Norte, thereby promoting the cultural and tourist opportunities of the 42 towns that make up the region.
