On May 23 and 24, 2026, La Cabrera became the epicenter of the Mountain and Climbing Days, an event that brought together athletes and enthusiasts to promote climbing and camaraderie.

The first day took place at Pico de la Miel, an emblematic site for national climbing, where participants enjoyed a collective activity. The date coincided with the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the opening of the “Espolón Manolín” route, a historic path established by local climbers such as Miguel Ángel Atance Calvo, Miguel López Larena, and Manuel Martínez.
Throughout Saturday, ascents and intergenerational meetings were held, highlighting the rich history of climbing in the Sierra Norte de Madrid. Subsequently, the Honey Rock climbing gym in La Cabrera hosted talks and discussions. Raúl Redondo shared his experiences about the early days of local climbing, while Miguel Ángel Atance recounted the process of opening the “Espolón Manolín”, detailing the technical conditions of the era.
The second day was held at the Centro Comarcal de Humanidades Sierra Norte. The program included the screening of a film about the careers of the Pou brothers, showcasing their international expeditions and major ascents. The event fostered the exchange of experiences in big wall climbing and mountaineering among attendees.

The audiovisual work takes a journey through the sporting and vital trajectory of the Pou brothers, showing some of their most outstanding expeditions and ascents in different international mountain ranges.

The days concluded with the presentation of mementos to the speakers, a raffle of gear donated by Soloclimb, and a book and photograph signing session. The organization expressed its gratitude to the Community of Madrid and all entities and participants for their contribution to the event's success.
