The Mancomunidad de Interés General de Servicios Sierra Norte (Sierra Norte General Interest Community Association) has launched 'La Copia', a new participation space for children and adolescents aged 7 to 17 in Cabanillas de la Sierra. The initiative seeks to give youth a voice in their town hall's decisions.

The first session of 'La Copia' will take place on Friday, October 23rd, at 6:00 PM at El Fito. The meeting will include games, proposal exchanges, and other activities, aiming to allow young people to express their ideas and suggest changes for their town.
'La Copia-Sierra Norte' is established as the Child and Adolescent Participation Commission of the Community Association. This stable body will enable minors to meet, express their opinions, and make proposals on issues affecting them in their municipalities and the region as a whole.
The initiative is supported by the Convention on the Rights of the Child and current legislation for the protection of children and adolescents, promoting stable channels for child and adolescent participation, in line with other COPIAs existing in Spain.
