The incident took place this Tuesday at an estate in the Madrid town of Miraflores de la Sierra, where an activity related to the April Fair was being held. A horse-drawn carriage carrying eight occupants overturned, leading to the deployment of emergency services.
The 112 emergency call was received at 12:25 PM, and SUMMA and Cruz Roja personnel were immediately dispatched to the scene. Seven of the carriage's occupants received medical attention for various injuries.
Among the injured, two men suffered serious injuries, while one woman was transported with a potentially serious prognosis. Additionally, four other women sustained minor injuries. The ages of those affected range from 57 to 76 years old, and all were taken to different hospitals within the Community of Madrid for medical care.
The Guardia Civil has launched an investigation to determine the precise causes of the accident, with the cooperation of the Local Police in assistance and incident management efforts.
