Thousands of people, including residents and visitors, gathered in the historic center of San Lorenzo de El Escorial to witness the Holy Burial procession, the most significant event of the local Holy Week, declared of Regional Tourist Interest.

The seven brotherhoods and fraternities of San Lorenzo began their procession from the Parish Church shortly after 7:30 PM, concluding their journey almost three hours later at the Basilica of the Royal Monastery. The procession passed through emblematic streets such as San Antón, where a large crowd gathered to observe the floats on this steep road, and continued along Calle del Rey, Plaza de la Constitución, Floridablanca, Plaza de la Virgen de Gracia, and Paseo Juan de Borbón.
During the route, attendees could admire the floats of Jesús de Medinaceli, Jesús Nazareno, Jesús Caído, Cristo de la Buena Muerte, La Piedad, the Holy Sepulchre, and the Virgen de la Soledad. These were accompanied by hundreds of confrades, women dressed in traditional mantillas, and various musical bands, including the Dulzaineros del Repeso and the Agrupación Jóvenes Brillantes.

"We had no idea so many floats would come out; it had been recommended to us at the Tourist Office, and we loved seeing it."

The public turnout included both residents of San Lorenzo and numerous tourists who, after visiting the Monastery, decided to stay and enjoy the procession. The good weather has been a key factor this year, allowing all the processions of San Lorenzo de El Escorial to proceed without incident, in the third year of a format that groups several floats. Holy Week will conclude with the Encuentro procession, scheduled for Sunday at noon, featuring the images of the Virgin and the Resurrected Christ.
