The Mancomunidad THAM has scheduled new free sessions for its Family Space initiative during April, focusing on child and adolescent education, as well as family coexistence, in Torrelodones, Hoyo de Manzanares, Alpedrete, and Moralzarzal.

These workshops aim to provide a meeting and learning point for families, facilitating the exchange of experiences and best practices. They will feature expert professionals who will share techniques and strategies to support parents and caregivers in their educational role. All sessions will take place from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM.

With these, we want to keep active a space for learning, meeting, and exchanging experiences and good practices, in which we also have the participation of expert professionals who offer us techniques and strategies to facilitate the educational task of participating families.

The program includes three monographic sessions. On Monday, April 13, the topic of “Healthy social relationships in childhood” will be addressed, aimed at families with children aged 4 to 10 years. This session, led by Maribel Maestre, a social psychologist and expert in childhood, will offer tools to understand and accompany children's interactions with their peers, promoting a respectful and mature approach.
On Wednesday, April 22, Dr. Raquel Bañuls Bertomeu, director of EDIpsicólogos, will present “Crying, sleep, feeding, and play in children aged 0 to 6 years.” This session is recommended for families with children up to 6 years old and seeks to provide an understanding of normative patterns in these developmental areas, offering practical tools to reduce anxiety and common doubts in daily family life.
Finally, on Monday, April 27, Maribel Maestre will return to discuss “Healthy social relationships in pre/adolescence,” focusing on families with pre-teens and teenagers. Similar to the children's session, this one will aim to facilitate the understanding of peer relationships and equip adults with cognitive and emotional strategies for effective accompaniment. Participation in these workshops is free and requires prior registration via email or an online form.
