The municipality of Galapagar is preparing for a festive and educational day next Saturday, April 18, in the Plaza de la Constitución, where families and children can enjoy puppets, workshops, and music, all focused on raising awareness about recycling and respect for the environment.

Starting at 11:00 AM, the Plaza de la Constitución will transform into a meeting point for learning and fun. The program includes educational workshops, a puppet show at 11:30 AM, and, as a grand finale, a clown performance at 1:00 PM, who, with their characteristic humor, will teach the little ones the importance of protecting the planet.
Among the featured activities are workshops designed for children aged 4 to 12, led by monitors and organized in groups of ten participants. One of them, the “Planting Seeds” workshop, will allow children to decorate pots, plant seeds, and learn about plant care, fostering patience and love for nature. At the end, each participant will take home their pot as a souvenir and commitment.
Concurrently, the “Tic-Tac-Toe with Recycled Material” workshop will be offered, where attendees will create a game using recycled materials. This activity aims to teach the importance of reducing and reusing waste, promoting creativity, teamwork, and environmental care. The handmade games will be a souvenir to continue practicing at home.
The puppet and clown shows, lasting 50 minutes and aimed at children aged 2 to 12, will playfully address waste separation. The story of the witch Morgana, who seeks to prevent recycling, will serve to raise awareness about the importance of this practice. Clowns Colorín and Colorado, through games and songs, will encourage the audience to make responsible decisions to protect nature, celebrating a cleaner and more colorful world together.
