The Collado Villalba City Council has opened the registration period for its Leisure and Free Time Monitor Course, a training initiative designed to integrate young people into the sector's job market.

Organized in collaboration with the Dinama Free Time School, the course will take place at the local Youth Center between June 24 and July 31. This training proposal is designed to provide participants with the necessary tools to work with children and young people in camps and various activities throughout Spain.
The content covers topics from leisure education and leisure culture to legislative aspects, group dynamics, values education, and co-education. It will also address the organization and management of activities, the use of outdoor resources and techniques, as well as project planning, design, and evaluation.
Those who successfully complete the training, which includes 160 hours of theory and practice, will obtain an official Diploma as a Free Time Monitor. This qualification, approved by the Community of Madrid, will allow them to work professionally in the field of youth leisure.
The course has 20 available spots and costs 264.60 euros, with the option to pay the amount in two installments. Classes will be held from Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and will include an overnight trip on July 11 and 12.
Interested individuals must be between 17 and 35 years old and hold an ESO qualification or equivalent. For more information, they can contact the Youth Center, located at Rincón de las Eras 10, or call 91 851 24 94.
