More than 400 students from five educational centers in Moralzarzal participated this Tuesday in La Dehesa in the release of three recovered birds of prey: a red kite, an eagle owl, and an Iberian imperial eagle.

The environmental day, held in the Antonio Zárate meadow and La Dehesa, allowed schoolchildren to learn about the rehabilitation process of wild fauna and the importance of its conservation from experts at the Wildlife Recovery Center (CRAS).
Students from CEIP El Raso, CEIP San Miguel Arcángel, Colegio Leonardo da Vinci, Fontenebro International School, and Instituto Carmen Martín Gaite learned about the rehabilitation work carried out by specialists with injured or disoriented birds before returning them to their natural habitat.
The event was attended by the Mayor, José Mª Moreno, the Councilor for the Environment, Cándido Carrillo, and the Councilor for Education, Beatriz Matesanz, who highlighted the pedagogical value of the initiative.
The Councilor for Education, Beatriz Matesanz, thanked the participating schools and the work of the CRAS team, mentioning Pepe Lara, Rubén, Alejandro, and Yolanda for their dedication to the recovery and conservation of wildlife.
