The Municipal Sports Center of Dehesa de los Godonales in Valdemorillo is undergoing a comprehensive transformation with a municipal investment exceeding 1.5 million euros. The first phase, focused on the renovation and modernization of the summer swimming pool to comply with current regulations, has recently finished. Currently, the new overflow basin is being filled and the necessary machinery for its maintenance is undergoing checks.

Mayor Santiago Villena, accompanied by councilors Miguel Partida and Eva Ruiz, visited the facilities. The summer pool is expected to be inaugurated soon. In parallel, the remodeling works of the sports center, which began this week after the season ended, will continue throughout the summer with the aim of being completed for the next season.

The refurbishment of the main building, which houses the changing rooms, is also progressing rapidly. According to the mayor, these works are anticipated to be completed within a maximum of one month.

Finally, the comprehensive renovation project includes the remodeling of the racket sports area. This final phase will feature the construction of three new paddle tennis courts and a multi-sport court, along with the general conditioning of the entire zone.
