The Soto del Real City Council has invited its residents to the “Pensar Soto” meeting on Friday, April 24, at the Art and Tourism Center (CAT), aiming to foster a collective reflection on the municipality's future and long-term development.

Under the slogan “Thinking together today about the town we want tomorrow,” this initiative seeks to create a participatory and enriching dialogue space. The forum will focus on the common interest of improving the municipality and adapting it to future challenges, promoting a global perspective to address local issues.
The event will feature an intervention by expert Enrique Ruz, who will deliver a two-part talk. Initially, Ruz will present examples of successful urban transformation in various cities worldwide, highlighting advancements in sustainability, local economy, and social cohesion. Subsequently, he will invite attendees to apply these reflections to the specific context of Soto del Real, posing key questions about the desired development model and the role of citizens in this process.

The future of Soto del Real is not improvised: it is thought, discussed, and built by everyone.

Following Enrique Ruz's presentation, an open dialogue with the public will commence, where participants can ask questions and contribute ideas, turning the meeting into an exercise in collective construction. Additionally, a round table will be held, bringing together the current mayor, Noelia Barrado, along with former mayors José Luis Sanz and Juan Lobato, offering a unique opportunity to compare approaches and generate constructive debate.
Pensar Soto” stands out for its unique character, combining an international vision with diverse perspectives and intergenerational dialogue. The purpose is to lay the groundwork for a municipal model that integrates well-being, sustainability, and opportunities, prepared for current needs and future challenges. The City Council invites all residents to participate, regardless of age or prior experience, in this inclusive space where every contribution is valuable for the future of Soto del Real.
