From September 19th to October 8th, the municipality will offer a variety of sports activities in different municipal spaces, in collaboration with local sports clubs. The aim is to foster healthy habits and create meeting points through physical exercise.
The program kicks off on September 19th at the Prado Real Sports Complex with a Total Training Master Class and a therapeutic Aqua Fitness session. On September 25th, the Family Climbing activity will take place at La Roca del Fénix, designed for intergenerational shared experiences.
On September 26th, the Family Sports Day will be held, a central event at the sports center facilities. Clubs such as Tandem Karate, Hípica El Soto, SRRC Rugby, and Tiro con Arco Arcosoto, among others, will participate, offering activities for those aged 4 and above, with no upper age limit. Participation will be formalized at a registration tent until available capacity is reached.
Additionally, for the European Week of Sport, from September 23rd to 30th, there will be open days at the Prado Real Sports Complex, which includes an indoor pool and gymnasium. This facility, managed by the City Council for 10 years, currently serves over 1,650 users.
The Councilor for Sports, Nacho García, emphasizes the initiative's importance in "placing physical activity at the center" and "offering proposals for different ages and ways to enjoy sports." He adds that the Family Sports Day "brings together our clubs and families from all over the municipality in a single day."
