The Soto del Real City Council has prepared an extensive agenda of cultural activities to commemorate International Book Day, aiming to bring reading closer to all audiences and transform the municipality into a cultural meeting point.

The celebration, spanning several days during the week of April 23, includes a diverse program designed for all ages. Activities will commence on April 22 with a wooden bookmark and flower workshop at the Senior Citizens' Center, organized in collaboration with Cruz Roja.
April 23, the central day of the commemoration, will feature an intense day of activities. The Senior Citizens' Center will host storytelling sessions created by its own users, while the Cultural Center will offer family-oriented storytelling sessions such as ¡Hola pajarito! and Trotamundos. The day will culminate at the Library with a Reading Party, where attendees can share their books, and a concert by the group Polvo de Buitre, blending literature and music.
One of the most anticipated events is the Book Fair, scheduled for April 25 in the Plaza de la Villa. This space will gather tents from bookstores, publishers, associations, and book signings, offering cultural activities such as an engraving workshop, a rap performance inspired by Don Quijote, the children's show Pinocchio, una historia delirante, and storytelling sessions.

"From the City Council, we continue to work to bring culture closer to all residents, with proposals designed for all ages that encourage participation."

The City Council invites residents and visitors to participate in these activities, which solidify Soto del Real as a vibrant open cultural space, promoting reading and cultural gatherings.
