The initiative, which seeks to turn filming locations into a cultural driver, includes the creation of an official inventory and the installation of information panels with digital tools. These points will allow visitors to learn details about productions filmed in the town, such as Mientras dure la guerra, Orgullo y Pasión, or the series Élite.
During the plenary session, the proposal received majority support from political groups, despite opposition from the local government. The executive team argued that work is already underway under the San Lorenzo de cine project, funded by grants for World Heritage destinations, and that they are coordinating with Film Madrid to create an ordinance to regulate filming.
The debate also highlighted the need to balance film activity with the well-being of residents, following complaints from neighbors regarding disturbances caused by some recent productions. The new route aims to integrate these spaces in an orderly manner, extending cultural interest to various points of the municipality.
