The City Council of San Lorenzo de El Escorial has confirmed the organization of two new editions of the Neighborhood Second-Hand Market, scheduled for Saturday, June 20, and Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the parking lot of the Matacuervos Industrial Estate.

The events, running from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, aim to promote the reuse of items, boost the circular economy, and reduce waste. They also seek to foster community interaction among residents through the buying, selling, exchange, or donation of used goods.
Participation is open to all adult residents registered in San Lorenzo de El Escorial. Each household can register once, and participation is free, intended for private individuals without commercial or professional aims.
Each stall will have a maximum space of 3x3 meters. Participants are responsible for setting up, dismantling, and cleaning their assigned area, ensuring it is kept in good condition throughout the event.
For the June 20th market, applications must be submitted by June 10th. For the October 17th market, the deadline is October 7th. Interested individuals can access the application process via the municipal website.
With these upcoming events, the Neighborhood Second-Hand Market solidifies its role as a municipal initiative dedicated to giving a second useful life to disused items and encouraging more sustainable habits among the citizens of San Lorenzo de El Escorial.
