The aim of this initiative is to promote autonomous and safe visits, linking the Bus Station with the Historical-Artistic Ensemble, the Royal Monastery, the Gardens, and La Herrería. The project involved redesigning sidewalks and roadways, reducing slopes, renewing pavements, and improving pedestrian crossings with tactile paving and accessible pathways.
Support elements such as handrails, stairs, and ramps have been incorporated where necessary, along with the replacement of bollards and repainting of road signage. The result is an itinerary that connects the main urban attractions with adapted public transport.
Furthermore, the route is connected to the Plaza de la Constitución car park and designated parking spaces for people with reduced mobility, facilitating access from various points in the municipality. This improvement is expected to boost the number of visitors and accessible tourist resources in the town.
