The Plaza de la Constitución in San Lorenzo de El Escorial will be the center of the third Responsible Adoption Fair this Saturday and Sunday. Organized by Escorial Felino in collaboration with the City Council of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, the event's main objective is to promote responsible pet ownership and showcase the crucial work carried out by animal welfare associations.
Throughout both days, from 10:30 AM to 8:00 PM, attendees can visit the various booths of animal protection entities. There, they will have the opportunity to learn about their projects, receive detailed information on adoption, essential care, living with pets, and the responsibility involved in welcoming a new family member.
The Councilor for Environment, Animal Welfare, and Tourism, Patricia Partida, highlighted the importance of this initiative for animal welfare and responsible ownership. She emphasized that the fair will serve as a bridge to connect citizens with the work of animal rescue groups and to introduce animals seeking a home.
“"Adopting an animal means knowing its needs, behavior, and characteristics beforehand, as well as assessing if they fit the lifestyle, time, and resources available to each family. Responsible ownership is a lifelong commitment."
Saturday's program includes the official opening, a Baileactivo session, a talk on "Responsible Adoption" by the Michos Felices Association, an oriental dance workshop, and a presentation of dogs for adoption. On Sunday, activities will continue with a basic dog training class from the Educadog Association, an urban dance exhibition by the group EfectiviWonder, and another dog presentation. The event will conclude with a charity raffle.
