The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has launched a series of rehabilitation works on the N-VI highway, connecting Collado Villalba with Guadarrama. These interventions will cause daytime traffic disruptions during the first week of June, specifically on June 1, 2, 3, and 4 between 10:00 AM and 8:00 PM, and on Friday, June 5 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Additionally, since last Monday, May 25, and for a period of four weeks, nighttime works are being carried out. These involve the closure of one direction of traffic between kilometers 42.2 and 46.9. The nighttime closures will take place from Mondays to Thursdays, from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following day.
To minimize inconvenience to drivers, an alternative detour has been established between kilometers 43.9 and 47.3, using roads M-527, M-600, and M-614. In the remaining affected section, alternating passage will be permitted through the lane not involved in the works, although occasional closures at main road entrances or exits are possible. Drivers needing to access Guadarrama are advised to use the exit at kilometer 47 of the AP-6.
The works will impact key areas such as the roundabout connecting the N-VI with the M-510 and the access to Collado Villalba (kilometer 42.2), as well as structures located between kilometers 42.450 and 42.550. The main highway, between kilometers 42.3 and 46.9, will also be subject to intervention. Bus stops located between kilometers 42 and 43 will be affected.
This project is part of the contract for the preventive maintenance and improvement of the State Road Network in the province of Madrid, with a lot awarded for a total of 7.5 million euros.
