The municipal group Vecinos por Moralzarzal has denounced the loss of a regional subsidy of 15,709.97 euros intended for the improvement of Moralzarzal's sports facilities, attributing it to negligent management by the Governing team.

The municipal group Vecinos por Moralzarzal has strongly criticized the local Governing team, led by José María Moreno, for what they describe as a new display of "institutional neglect and worrying management incapacity." The complaint focuses on the formal revocation of a subsidy granted by the regional administration for the improvement of the municipality's sports infrastructure.
As revealed in the Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid (BOCM), published on April 30, 2026, the Community of Madrid has withdrawn the financial aid of 15,709.97 euros. The reason for this revocation is not due to budget cuts, but to the alleged improper submission of the required supporting documentation in the technical procedure, specifically related to letter j) of the eleventh section of the regulatory call.
From Vecinos por Moralzarzal, they lament that "it is inadmissible that our clubs and users of the sports centers have to pay the consequences of negligent management that prioritizes cosmetic works and advertising instead of ensuring that the papers and justifications to receive money from the Community of Madrid are correctly submitted."
The independent party recalls that this funding was intended to improve the safety, accessibility, and maintenance of municipal sports facilities that suffer from "notable deficiencies." They consider it "painful" to lose this external aid due to an "office error," especially when, in their opinion, the current municipal government "does not hesitate to quickly spend taxpayer money on celebrations, banquets, or promotional campaign videos."
The opposition points out that "when it comes to spending more than 16,000 euros on a drone video for a fictitious sports center that has no budget, the PP rushes and processes it immediately." However, they add, "when it comes to processing the real aid granted by the Community of Madrid to fix the flooring or access to the sports facilities that residents already enjoy, they submit it incorrectly and let the money return to Madrid. It is a disgrace."
In light of this situation, Vecinos por Moralzarzal demands that the Councilor for Sports, Carlos Hernando Segovia, assume responsibility for the economic damage caused to the municipality. They urge the PP to "stop managing Moralzarzal as their personal fiefdom" and to "take institutional deadlines and bureaucracy seriously" to prevent residents from losing services and resources due to "their apathy."
