The operation began following a citizen alert that pointed to a possible illegal cultivation in the town. After relevant investigations, agents carried out a search and seizure of the property.
During the intervention, not only the cannabis plantation but also various materials and tools used for cultivating the substance were discovered. As a result, two suspects were arrested.
The detainees face charges for alleged crimes against public health and electricity fraud, the latter related to the high energy consumption typically required by such facilities.
