Just days before its main festival week begins, Manzanares El Real presents a festive preview with the 2026 Pre-Festivals. These will be held from Friday, July 24th, to Sunday, July 26th, offering three days designed for all residents, combining sports activities, musical performances, contests, and family events. The Plaza del Pueblo, Hora Joven, and Municipal Swimming Pool will be the main venues for this prelude to the official festivities.
The opening day, Friday, July 24th, will kick off at 5:00 PM with a new edition of the Mus Tournament at the Hora Joven. In the evening, starting at 8:30 PM, the Plaza del Pueblo will host cultural performances featuring the Folklore Group from Becerril de la Sierra and the Vasilitzia Folklore Group. The day will conclude at 11:00 PM in the same square with the sixth edition of the DJ Contest, aimed at young people from the Sierra Norte.
Saturday, July 25th, will be marked by sports and rock music. The morning will start at 9:00 AM with the Petanque Tournament, followed at 5:00 PM by another Mus Tournament. The highlight of the evening will be the Pedriza Rock Festival 2026, which will begin at 9:00 PM in the Plaza del Pueblo, establishing itself as a significant event for rock music lovers in the region.
Sunday, July 26th, will be dedicated to families with the Water Day at the Municipal Swimming Pool, offering free entry. The small pool will be open all day, while the large pool will close at 4:00 PM to prepare for the Swimming Tournament at 5:00 PM. The grand finale of the Pre-Festivals will be the musical show Broadway Zincaló at 8:30 PM in the Plaza del Pueblo.
These Pre-Festivals serve as a warm-up for the patron saint festivities of Manzanares El Real, which will take place from July 30th to August 3rd. The final program for the main festivities will be announced soon, but this weekend promises to be a good indicator of the festive atmosphere that will fill the municipality.
