The mayor of Guadarrama, Diosdado Soto, along with the traffic councilor, Rafael Valero, have once again presented their request for a shuttle service to the Community of Madrid government. The goal is to facilitate the connection between Guadarrama and the Collado Villalba commuter train station, thereby enhancing transport options for residents.
This demand was made during a recent meeting in Guadarrama, attended by several mayors from nearby towns. Various transport needs were discussed, and representatives from Guadarrama and Galapagar also emphasized the urgent need to improve safety on the M-510 road. The Director General of Roads of the Community of Madrid, Natalia Quintana, was present and committed to participating in future discussions on these concerns.
During the meeting, other key aspects for improving transport in the municipalities were also addressed, including adapting the services of the Regional Transport Consortium to users' actual needs. Regarding housing, strategies to promote housing solutions were explored, and the Minister of Housing, Transport, and Infrastructure, Jorge Rodrigo, outlined the Community of Madrid's initiatives to facilitate access to affordable housing.
