Seventeen unemployed individuals have joined the Public Works and Services Department of the Guadarrama City Council through an employment-training program funded by state resources.

The Guadarrama council has launched this initiative with a grant of 325,947.12 euros allocated for labor and training expenses. The contracts, lasting eight months (from June 15, 2026, to February 14, 2027), cover various professional profiles.
The hired profiles include two first-class officers in painting, two in maintenance, eight in masonry, and five in cleaning. Employees will work 35 hours per week, from Monday to Saturday, in morning and afternoon shifts.
In addition to direct work experience, participants will receive 90 hours of complementary training. This training will be divided into 50 hours dedicated to environmental awareness and good occupational practices, and 40 hours focused on developing personal and social employment skills.

"Through this initiative, the City Council works to help unemployed individuals enter the workforce, not only through real work but also with training that connects them to their professions."
