Alfonso Senra street in Guadarrama will be closed to traffic until next Friday, July 17, due to asphalting works.

Starting this Monday, July 13, asphalting work has begun on Alfonso Senra street in Guadarrama. These tasks, which conclude previous works on the road, will require a total traffic closure, allowing only the passage of buses and emergency vehicles.
The closure will affect the section between the roundabout of the M-614 (Piquío area) and Doctor Fleming street. This measure aims to ensure the safety of workers and pedestrians. The bus service will not be interrupted, maintaining its usual stops.
Consequently, parking will be prohibited along the entire affected stretch to prevent damage to vehicles during the pavement milling and asphalting process.
A notable exception is a section between the first and second turrets of the Plaza Mayor, which will not receive new asphalt. This decision was made to protect the roots of the centenary Elm tree in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, as this area has not been altered by the works and the high temperatures of the asphalt could harm it.
The asphalting, scheduled from Monday to Friday, will finalize the renovation of the water supply network carried out by the Canal de Isabel II. This modernization aims to improve water efficiency and consumption in Guadarrama.
