This meeting in Collado Mediano concludes the series of territorial gatherings aimed at the 93 municipalities in the area with high visibility of the astronomical event. Technical coordination will continue in the coming weeks to finalize the operational preparations.
Participants in this meeting included, in addition to the hosts, representatives from the town councils of Alpedrete, Becerril de la Sierra, Cercedilla, Collado Villalba, El Boalo-Cerceda-Mataelpino, Hoyo de Manzanares, Los Molinos, Moralzarzal, and Navacerrada.
The Government delegate, Francisco Martín, presided over the meeting and thanked the municipalities for their attendance and willingness to collaborate to ensure the safety of planned activities.
The delegate was accompanied by officials from the Delegation's Citizen Security and Civil Protection units, as well as representatives from the State Security Forces and Corps, the General Directorate of Traffic, the Community of Madrid, and the local police forces of the area's towns.
This meeting in Collado Mediano is the fourth in a series that began in Buitrago de Lozoya, followed by El Molar and Alcalá de Henares, aiming to strengthen institutional and operational coordination for the eclipse.
