The El Escorial City Council has launched a comprehensive rehabilitation project for the roof of the Pilar Herranz Culture House, with an investment of 45,284.25 euros, to resolve leakage and dampness issues affecting the building.

The intervention became necessary due to the deterioration of the current roof, where displaced metal sheets caused leaks, dampness, and damage inside the property. Municipal sources indicated that the decision to act now aims to prevent more significant problems and avoid unnecessary increases in future maintenance costs.

This action demonstrates a commitment to culture and efficiency, utilizing available resources to undertake necessary investments that protect municipal heritage and improve residents' daily lives.

The improvement project includes removing damaged elements and installing a new zinc finish compliant with current regulations. Additionally, highly durable waterproof solutions will be incorporated. These measures are designed to eliminate leaks, optimize the space's usability, and extend the infrastructure's lifespan. The works are estimated to take 90 working days.
