The Spanish Association Against Cancer in Moralzarzal is launching a campaign to raise awareness about skin cancer prevention at the Municipal Pool this weekend, June 27 and 28.

Under the slogan 'It is protected, but its skin is not,' the local branch of the Spanish Association Against Cancer in Moralzarzal is organizing an informational campaign focused on skin cancer prevention. The initiative will take place at the Municipal Pool facilities, a chosen location to emphasize the importance of sun health during the summer season.
Association members will be present at the pool on Saturday, June 27, and Sunday, June 28, between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Their objective is to offer practical recommendations to swimmers and visitors for enjoying the summer period safely, minimizing risks from ultraviolet radiation, and raising awareness about the key value of early detection.
During the campaign, essential photoprotection guidelines will be highlighted, such as avoiding direct sun exposure during peak hours (between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM), using physical barriers like hats and light clothing, and consistently applying sunscreen, preferably with a high protection factor (SPF 50).
The Ayuntamiento de Moralzarzal encourages residents to visit the information point during their pool visit to address questions about family health care.
