The El Escorial Town Council has approved an allocation of 750,000 euros for the drafting of the urbanization project for the Montencinar area, a key initiative for the future development of the region.

The decision, made at an extraordinary plenary session in April, responds to the Government team's proposal to increase the amount allocated for this purpose. Municipal sources have highlighted the necessity of this action to advance precisely and firmly in the future of the area.
The Town Council has indicated that the complexity of the Montencinar area requires prior studies and procedures that must be carried out by specialized companies and professionals. Therefore, the local administration has approved a larger economic amount than budgeted in 2025, with the aim of contracting specialized engineering to reflect the actual costs of the project.

"We are at a relevant moment for the future of this area, with a Government willing to invest what is legally necessary so that the steps to be taken in the area are firm and prosperous for the present and future of this part of our locality."

The amount of 750,000 euros has been determined considering the estimated budget for the material execution of the necessary urbanization works, the increase in costs, and the complex nature of the area, characterized by its large extension and irregular terrain. This investment will be financed through the Treasury surplus.
The Montencinar area, classified as unconsolidated urban land, covers 1,365,763.75 square meters and has over 800 plots for single-family residential use, with a high degree of existing construction and specific topographical and geological features.

"This is undoubtedly the largest investment made in years. It clearly demonstrates the support and work we are carrying out, aimed at the residents of Montencinar."
