Two minors injured by a commuter train in Galapagar

Two 16-year-old teenagers suffered injuries of varying severity after being hit by a commuter train in Galapagar, near La Navata station, early Monday morning.

One of the youths is in very serious condition and was attended to and stabilized by SUMMA medical personnel before being transported to Puerta de Hierro Hospital. The second minor sustained minor injuries and also received assistance from the emergency services.
The incident occurred around 00:20 AM, as both were walking alongside the tracks and were struck by the train. Emergency services found them approximately 200 meters from the platform. The initial alert came from Adif personnel.
Renfe has arranged for another train to transport the passengers who were on board the involved train. The response operation also included personnel from Civil Protection, Local Police, and the Civil Guard, in addition to medical teams.
