The Local Security Board has defined this week the operations that will be deployed during the festivities in honor of Nuestra Señora del Carmen, in July, and the celebrations of the Asunción de Nuestra Señora and San Roque, in August. The plan includes close collaboration between the Guardia Civil and the Local Police, which will incorporate the use of drones to improve surveillance at scheduled events.
With the aim of ensuring a safe environment, the council will install Violet Points during the celebrations. In parallel, the fourth edition of the Safe Holidays Plan has been launched, an initiative that allows residents and merchants to leave their property keys under police custody during their absences, in addition to offering recommendations to prevent burglaries.
In terms of statistics, the municipality maintains a crime rate 11.8 points below the average of the Comunidad de Madrid. Although the first quarter of 2026 has shown a slight increase in criminal offenses, authorities have highlighted greater police effectiveness and an increase in the resolution of crimes thanks to the reinforcement of personnel in the area.
