The THAM Commonwealth has launched the Basic Material Assistance Program (AMBA), a crucial initiative to support economically vulnerable families, especially those with dependent children, in the municipalities of Torrelodones, Hoyo de Manzanares, Alpedrete, and Moralzarzal.

This program, managed by the Social Services of the THAM Commonwealth, is financially supported by the European Union through its European Funds. Its primary goal is to facilitate access to essential goods during critical times, ensuring families can meet their basic needs.
Beneficiaries of the AMBA Program will receive an exchangeable card allowing them to purchase essential products at specific establishments. Available items include basic food necessities, personal hygiene products such as soap and toothpaste, and specific items like menstrual hygiene products and infant diapers.
In addition to material assistance, the program includes social support measures. This comprehensive strategy not only aims to alleviate immediate economic burdens but also to foster inclusion and strengthen the social fabric of the participating municipalities, promoting support beyond purely material aid.
To access the AMBA Program, interested individuals must schedule an appointment at the Social Services center in any of the four municipalities that form the THAM Commonwealth. It is essential that Social Services professionals issue a prescription and conduct a technical assessment to confirm eligibility.
