Over a thousand applicants gathered at the Casa de la Cultura in Majadahonda for the lottery of 175 public housing units, organized by PAMMASA and the City Council, which concluded with success and transparency.

Last Tuesday, May 26th, the Casa de la Cultura in Majadahonda hosted the lottery for 175 public housing units promoted by the Community of Madrid. The event, organized by the public company Patrimonio Municipal de Majadahonda S.A. (PAMMASA) in collaboration with the City Council, was deemed a success in terms of organization and protocol.
A slight delay in opening the hall, due to the notary's meticulous review of the 1,361 balls, caused long queues for the more than one thousand applicants. Limited capacity allowed only one representative per applicant, forcing many to wait outside, near Gran Vía.
Once the legality and transparency of the process were guaranteed, with the presence of council members from the Government (PP) and the Opposition (Vox, Vecinos por Majadahonda, PSOE, and Más Madrid-IU) as witnesses, the draw proceeded. The event concluded without incidents or protests, receiving applause from the attending public.
In the under-40s quota, designated for 108 homes, 1,037 admitted applicants were entered. The manager of PAMMASA, David Ballester, oversaw the extraction of the ball that determined the winning number (286) and subsequent beneficiaries. Subsequently, the draw for the 64 general quota homes, with no age restrictions, was conducted among the 1,361 admitted applicants. Number 1,349 was the winner on this occasion.
Finally, the three homes reserved for people with reduced mobility were drawn. As there were fewer applicants (3) than available homes (8), the extracted ball determined the order of preference for selection. Number 2 was drawn, concluding the event. The remaining five homes will be transferred to the Community of Madrid for management.
David Ballester congratulated the beneficiaries and thanked attendees. The selected individuals must now revalidate their applications and accept the delivery, with a remote possibility of renunciations due to unforeseen circumstances activating waiting lists.
