The municipality of Pozuelo de Alarcón is preparing for the arrival of over 3,300 new homes in the coming years, with prices set to be below free market rates. According to local Popular Party reports, 2,900 of these units are part of the ARPO and Huerta Grande developments, intended for sale. Additionally, a Municipal Rental Plan will offer 220 apartments across five plots, specifically targeting individuals under 35 years old registered in the town.
The mayor and president of the PP in Pozuelo de Alarcón, Paloma Tejero, along with the Secretary General of the PP of Madrid, Alfonso Serrano, visited the city to gain firsthand insight into the Municipal Housing Rental Plan for young people. During their tour, they inspected two of the five plots included in the municipal plan, located on Coca de la Piñera and Murania streets, with the latter showing the most advanced construction progress.
“"For this municipal government, it is a priority that the young people of Pozuelo can continue to live in their city, which is why we have launched these first 220 homes to be allocated in the coming months."
The City Council anticipates that the lottery for the allocation of these 220 homes will take place after the summer, with deliveries scheduled for the early months of next year. The 'number two' of the PP of Madrid emphasized that the administration in Pozuelo, led by Paloma Tejero, prioritizes affordable housing, a key concern for citizens. He noted that out of the more than 3,300 new homes announced, nearly 600 will be directly promoted by the City Council itself.
“"The PP mayors think about the future of their municipality, which contrasts with the Government of Spain, whose only concern for the future is its judicial future."
