The literary event, organized by the Pozuelo de Alarcón City Council, will take place between Suecia Street and the Víctimas del Terrorismo roundabout. For three days, attendees can explore new releases from local bookstores, publishers, and various entities, as well as participate in author signing sessions and enjoy family-friendly shows.
Among the confirmed writers for this edition are Raquel Villaamil, Fernando Martínez Laínez, Isabel San Sebastián, Alicia Vallina, and Emilio Urberuaga, who will share the space with local literary talents from Pozuelo. The fair will be open from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with an early closing on Sunday at 8:30 PM.
The council will also set up a stand for eBookPozuelo, its municipal platform for lending electronic documents. This service, which already has over 2,000 users, offers access to more than 12,000 titles, including books, newspapers, magazines, and audiobooks. Visitors to the fair will have the opportunity to register for the service during the event.
The children's program will kick off on Friday, April 24, with the show Gota at 7:00 PM. On Saturday, there will be two performances: Tú-turutú la princesa at 12:30 PM and Las vacaciones de Madame Roulotte at 7:00 PM. Finally, on Sunday, April 26, children can enjoy Chiflados at 12:30 PM and Clown Talent at 7:00 PM.
As part of the Book Day celebrations, on April 23, a tribute will be paid to María Esperanza Morón García, a doctor in History, Official Chronicler of the Town, and a prominent disseminator of the municipality's traditions and history, who passed away late last year. Her legacy will be remembered by naming the cultural center located in Plaza del Padre Vallet after her, an initiative that is part of the commemorative events organized by the City Council.
